Jay is a multi-disciplined artist from Fort Worth, TX. He is one of the founders of Art Tooth, a Fort Worth art collective non-profit, and is represented by Fort Works Art. “My work delves into memory and nostalgia, not just by exploring the past, but by attempting to understand how memories are formed and to reconcile the fact that memory is an imperfect record, yet the only constant in human identity beyond the present moment. We base much of who we are not on what happened but on how we felt it happened, which can be both beautiful and dangerous. My aim is to explore how we absorb information to build these memories, intentionally or not.”
