Reclaiming urban space for creativity, community & culture.
How it started
The Art Docks began with a simple but powerful belief: that underutilized urban spaces can become destinations. What was once an overlooked industrial alleyway in Dallas — walls untouched for over 20 years — has been transformed into a high-energy corridor of creativity spanning nearly 20,000 square feet along Conveyor Lane and Security Drive.
Curated by Katie Murray, M2G Ventures' Chief Creative Officer, the project drew more than 100 submissions from artists across the globe. Following a rigorous selection process led by a five-person jury, 18 muralists were chosen — uniting 11 Texas-based artists with national talent and two international muralists from Spain and London.
The result is a stunning range of styles and voices: from glitch-effect portraiture and psychedelic characters to modern Western iconography and bold abstract patterns. Together, these works form an immersive experience where industrial architecture meets the pulse of the local art scene.
Meet the Curator
Katie Murray serves as Chief Creative Officer of M2G Ventures, where she has spearheaded the firm's visual identity, art-forward development strategy, and project curation since 2015. A lifelong Texan, Murray holds a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master's Degree in Painting from Texas Woman's University.
An award-winning artist named "Best Artist of Fort Worth" by Fort Worth Magazine, Murray has led high-profile collaborations with Meow Wolf, Meta, Macy's, Coca-Cola, and the Fort Worth Zoo. For The Art Docks, she oversaw a highly competitive selection process — reviewing more than 100 global submissions and assembling a jury of five to select the final 18 artists.
"This isn't just a collection of murals," says Murray. "It's a cohesive visual conversation that reflects the evolving creative identity of the District."
